Nope, this is not enough.

The whole case and dependencies are a more complicated than you might
think. I'm not able to explain this to you in a very few lines. It's
much easier that you use SUSE Linux 9.2 (or even better SUSE Linux
9.3), where all the necessities were already done for you, than
explaining this to you
(I think that it is even impossible to exchange only a few files and
binaries here and there, and don't get a fail of other programs then).

Sorry for this unsatisfying answer, but you're trying to use a new
printer (around 1 year old) with a much older system (around 2 years
old). So, the support of this printer was impossible a development
time, without having a good crystal ball device. :-)

SUSE Linux 8.2 is really, really old. If you have a closer look at the
update tree at SUSE's ftp server, you might even notice that security
updates for 8.2 will soon discontinue. So, this argument might let you
do the step toward a newer Linux version either? :-)
