[cups.bugs] [HIGH] STR #1188: Unable to print to CUPS-printer on

I can't seem to print from 2 machines to my server ... it was happily
working with 1.1.18 on
the server, started failing when I upgraded the clients to Slack 10.1
(cups 1.1.23) .
I then upgraded cups 1.1.22 on the server (slack 8.1), same result ... 

Where should I be looking to fix this?
