[cups.general] missing deskjet 3840 ppd

i am trying to install an HP DeskJet 3840 and fails because cups can not
find the ppd file.  i installed hplip 0.9.5, gimp-print, foomatic, and
foomatic-db

i dont see anything close to the 3840, like 3800 or 380C....

here are the last few lines from cupds log file

anyone know how to fix this?  where or how to get the ppd?


i looked for a newer version and there is 0.9.6 but the change log did not
show anything about the deskjet.
