Prevent cups from scanning local printers ?

Hi,

I'm trying to run cupds for printing from my RedHat to a Windows printers.
This works fine, however, it seems that when it starts, cpus scans avery USB ou parallel port, searching for connected printers.
This is likely to make some troubles with other (non robust enough) equipements.

Does somebody know if there is a way to tell cups to make it with the printers I define, and not to try to scan any else ?
