w2k/xp+samba3 pdc+cups = slow

hi,

first i've tried to use windows with ipp directly but the printjobs were kept for ever in the windows print queue. now i'm printing to networkprinters via samba. cups prints to the printers by lpr and ipp. with this setup the windows queue management works. but regardless how jobs are sent to cups, by samba or directly, printing ist extremely slow. some times it takes up to 10 minutes (!!!) to get one singel page printed.

please help.
