Backend scripts not showing - SOLVED

Thanks for replying - yes I did restart (and uninstalled, and re-installed, and upgraded!)

I have just found the problem - selinux was enabled. I disabled it and everything popped back up again.

Still, during my wanderings I found Tea4CUPS, which looks useful, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.
