USB printer not showing up

My USB printer is not showing up in the device section, when I want to install it with the web interface.

Cups was compiled manually from "cups-1.2svn-r4629-source.tar.bz2".

I've restarted cups a few times, but that didn't help.
Does anyone have any idea what could be missing and how I can solve it?
Anything else I could check? I have a feeling this is going to be something very simple I overlooked, but I have no clue what :/
