[cups.general] ESP Ghostscript error

Dear community,

my Brother HL 5140 won't print and I have the impression that according to the 
diag output (loglevel debug2) there is an error in exactly the following 
section... I simply don't know how to recover it. Can you please help me?

The below diag output was generated upon issuing the command "lpr /etc/motd" 
for a test. Though, I see this error on so many print attempts and I won't 
get a single sheet of paper out of my little box.
