You try to set the system default queue on the 9.3 system
in /etc/cups/printers.conf (because you use "lpadmin")
but there is no such queue on the 9.3 system because what you
see with "lpstat -p" on the 9.3 system is the remote queue
from the other host which was announced via CUPS Browsing.
Regarding print settings in general see
http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2002/11/jsmeix_print-cups-options.html
Each user on the 9.3 system can use "lpoptions" (or the nice
graphical printing frontends) to set his personal default queue
in ~/.lpoptions or you can run "lpoptions" as root on the 9.3 system
to set the default queue in /etc/cups/lpoptions for all users
on the 9.3 system.
Kind Regards
