Epson AcuLaser C4100 eplaser driver not working, others do

Hi,

Strangely enough all my print jobs get aborted instantly and there is
nothing useful (to my eye) in the log. If I just change the driver to
"Epson AcuLaser C4100 Foomatic/ljet4 (en)" or lj4dith instead of the
eplaser driver, printing works just fine (in black & white, anyway).

I installed the software with USE=ppds emerge cups foomatic (Gentoo).
The printer is on socket://192.168.0.2.
