HP Officejet Pro K550

Good afternoon,

I installed the above printer using yast on SuSE 9.2.  Since 9.2 does not contain the ppd file for this printer, I copied the one from linuxprinting.org.
I checked the usb connection (relevant 'test' within yast works printing 'hello world').  When trying to print a test page, CUPS prepares the output file and forwards everything to the renderer.  Then, the following message appears in /var/cups/error_log with 'debug' switched on:
