PPD EOJ string vs. banner pages (1.2rc1)

If I enable banner pages on 1.2rc1, only the banner page prints.  If I turn on error pages on the printer, following the banner page is an error about "undefined in @PJL", and tracing the connection shows that indeed a PJL command (taken from the PPD "JLCEnd" definition) is sent immediately after the banner.

(The banner passes "cupstestdsc", and in fact I have replicated this with the stock "standard" banner as well as our custom one.)

The DSC file is taken from the Windows printer driver for the Dell W5300.

Where should I be looking to resolve this issue?
