Problem in printing to non-Postscript Designjet 1050c

Hello Franz, Hello everybody,

thanks for your response. But...it won't work.
A question for my understanding:

I disabled the plotter in the spooling system (disable "plotter")
Then I submit a printout.
In the directory /var/spool/cups I found to files cXXX and dXXXX.
When I open the dXXXX file, it looks like a postcript file (starting with %!PS-Adobe-1.0 at the first column).
So how can this file be printed, if the Plotter doesn't understand PS ?
