[cups.general] Page Accounting and Charging schemes: Are there any that can be used with cups?

Hello, I was wondering what methods exist for tracking page counts per
user per printer etc.
Ulimately it would be nice to have cups look into an ldap database and
do some
checks before accepting a job, perhaps it could tally the page counts
and total charges, etc....

Any thoughts? Basically this entails being able to get reliable page
count data from printers
per job....
