cups generating wrong config files in /etc/cups for usb printer

Sounds like the device ID is not getting detected properly?  The
old /dev/usb/lp0 filenames are deprecated and won't work with 1.2,
so more than likely this is just an issue with the USB backend in
1.1.23 on Debian - have you reported the problem to the Debian
folks yet?
