Printing of photos cancelled with Epson Stylus Photo R340

Hi!

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R340 connected to a machine running Ubuntu Edgy. First it printed photos well, but recently these printjobs get cancelled, as are jobs of large pdf-files. In the log file /var/log/cups/error.log, I find these and similar entries:

E [12/Dec/2006:17:31:40 +0100] PID 9458 (/usr/lib/cups/filter/pstoraster) crashed on signal 11!
E [12/Dec/2006:17:31:41 +0100] PID 9460 (/usr/lib/cups/backend/ipp) stopped with status 1!

The driver is CUPS+Gutenprint v 5.0.0.

What do I need to check or change to make it work again? Any advice warmly welcome.
