Duplex and Landscape problems

- Server is CUPS 1.2.7 on debian for PPC (remote)
- Printer is Xerox Phaser 6250 DP
- Client is MacOS 10.4.8

Features I need from the server are :

- IPP with discovery
- as the Xerox printer is postscript, I need the system to be Postscript all the way (no raw interterpretation in the middle or what have you...)
- User acces and authentication
- Page counts and quotas

SO FAR : works fine but have a few problems to iron out...

It seems by default my MacOS client was negotiating the job as an octet stream, It seemed to work fine except it would not use the pstops filter so not a solution for me as I need accounting.

That was corrected by commenting out some unwanted types in mime.types, I've managed to force it to use Postscript or some othe cups.postscript type, does someone know a better way to prioritize types ?

I've now got accounting working! here are the two problems remaining :

- When printing multiple duplex copies, it doubles the copies (ie : 2 copies of duplex pages produces 4 copies etc...)

- when printing in landscape the content is not rotated to fit on the page, I just get about half the content in the wrong orientation!

As soon as this works fine, I can sell the solution to a very important customer!!! pls. help!

thank a bunch,

Phil.
