Yes much smaller.

Then I printed a page and it was much smaller than expected.
Possibly _too_ small but I'll experiment tomorrow and see if I can't get 
a suitable size.

I had previously seen the Options tab with Fit to Page Size and the 
scaling but for some reason never occurred to me that this might affect 
the size of the print.  I also had the thought that I might have to 
change the scale every time it printed but it looks like it "sticks".

Thank you very much for this help which may have fixed a long time 
vexing problem over many versions of Opera.

And thanks very much for going to the trouble of loading a copy of Opera 
just to test this out.  If you are not some kind of Cups official that's 
  way beyond the call of duty and I applaud you.

I don't know if there is such a thing in Opera.

BTW, I got no help from anyone on the Opera list.  You would think they 
might know about this.  Oh well.
