[cups.general] is it possible to configure cups to disallow pure-text jobs

This is a printer behavior and can't be solved on the printer spooler side.

You can only set printer options with the printing language. If the printer
doesn't understand this language then all options are ignored.


Two suggestions:
*) Use administration tools with autodetection (YaST, CUPS SNMP, ....)
*) Set up a list with printer models and PPD files
