Not necessary, just add ".ppd" to the end of the printer URI
(http://servername:631/printers/printername.ppd) to get the PPD
file.

Longer term we want to support either Microsoft's (undocumented) IPP
extension operation and/or provide a Java class that runs (via a
browser link) to add a local printer, just as our current Windows
client software (http://www.easysw.com/printpro/software.php) does.
