processing many Print jobs simultaneous (backend)

Howdy,


I've wrote a backend script for CUPS.

Now I want to start from the backend process another script in the 
background and release the CUPS printer for other jobs.
Thats the only way, to do what I want, because a few print jobs on this 
queue should have a sleep function, that should'nt delay other Jobs on 
the same queue. Depend on different variables.

How can I realise this?
