Physically moving the printer is not required.  Thats the beauty of 
cups.  I just printed a 60 page pdf from xpdf on a debian box in my 
shop, with the paper coming out of the printer on the desk to my right, 
hooked to a usb port on this FC2 box. Cups is a fully network capable 
printing system.

People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word
'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's
stupid bounce rules.  I do use spamassassin too. :-)
