Errors and Stopped Jobs

I am very familiar with OS X but don't know much about CUPS. I would say I am a novice unix user so sorry in advance if I am not clear enough. I have a fax server send print jobs automatically to a printer. The printer continually was stopping it's jobs and jobs just built up in the queue. I can usually put the job it is stuck on on hold and then resend it and it goes fine. Why doesn't it work the first time? The following is a snapshot of the console log where I believe I captured my putting the job on hold resuming and then it processes. This error is what concerns me "CGPDFDocumentCreateWithURL couldn't open `/private/var/spool/cups/d11184-001'"
Here is the log. Any help would be appreciated. I will be happy to provide more info if needed.
