-o raw and PCL files

Hi,

We have an Oracle application that generates PCL output
and sends it to the printer.  If the CUPS queue is set to our
lexmark drivers (T630) and I print the file to it, I get garbage
output.

If I send the file with -o I get
client-error-document-format-not-supported

If I set the printer to RAW I get the output I'd expect.

What's causing this issue?  The Lexmark PPD, CUPS itself,
or a non-standard PCL file that the printer understands despite
it being malformed?

I'd much rather use the "smart" driver.
