CUPS not "finding" ESP ghostscript

Greetings,

This may be a silly question but I am working with very little sleep these days- my daughter was born seven weeks early. 'Course that is when things break at work.

Anyway I am trying to build a spiffy new print server using CUPS 1.1.23 and ESP Ghostscript 8.15.1. Both have built without complaint for me - until I try to work with printers.

Our "mandate" is that all packages we build use /opt/local as their install root directory, so cups is in /opt/local/cups, and ESP Ghostscript is in /opt/local/gs.

ESP Ghostscript can display all the example files w/o a problem.

CUPS has been popping up the following error in the error_log when I tried to print test pages:

E [21/Feb/2006:17:40:07 -0500] Unable to convert file 0 to printable format for job 9!
I [21/Feb/2006:17:40:07 -0500] Hint: Do you have ESP Ghostscript installed?

Well, I do, but not where CUPS may expect it.

So, my silly question which I have been unable to find the answer for is how/where do I tell CUPS where to find ESP Ghostscript (when it is installed in a non-standard location)? My looking at forum archives and docs has not turned up an answer, but my blood-shot eyes may have missed what I am looking for.

Thanks
Bob Martel
