Print Server

To whom it may concern,

I'm new to CUPS, so excuse me for my stupidity.
I would like to set up a print server in my network which will act as the central master print server, i.e. all my client including, solaris, linux, Windows XP & 2000 and Mac OS X can print to it (thru LPD, I assume). Can CUPS be set up as this way as a master print server? Currently, we have hp laserjet 5, 4000, 2000, 8000, QMS, and tektronic color laser? Anyone had any experience on this???
