Can not actually help but I'm having a simular problem with an Epson CX6600
with the print driver from the manufacture. All test pages print from cups,
nothing prints from Scribus, KDE or any KDE application. Do you have
OpenOffice installed. It seems to print fine with the CX6600 and CUPS. Also
look at your print manager and display the completed jobs, are they aborted
(mine are) last line says they are aborted by the system. Have not been
able to isolate the problem yet. I have CUPS 1.1.23-21.2, KDE 3.4.2-27.2
pips-scx6500_6600s-cups (EK driver), Ghostscript 8.15rc1-29.

Yesterday I completely removed CUPS, All Drivers, etc and reinstalled. Still
have the problem. I've recieved several ideas from several news groups but
no have fixed the problem. My HP LaserJet IIIP prints fine from all
applications thru CUPS. This all worked under SuSE 9.1, I'm on 10.0 retail
version.

I thought of installing KDE 3.5.1 but that may make matters worse. I don't
like to install something new when i have a problem present.

If you find a solution please post it. I'll do the same.
