customize CUPS banner page

I want to put real user name (rather than Linux login name) and department 
name (picked from drop-down box from PPD file) on the banner page.

I checked /usr/share/cups/banner, and I can change"Billing Info" to 
"Department Name", but is there a way to provide the value of department 
name to the banner template?

It looks like the banner template accepts IPP job attributes, is there a way 
to work around it?
