What CUPS version do you use? for using the v6 stuff, you need to use the cupsaddsmb
from 1.1.23.

If your CUPS version is older (I don't know the lowest version you may use), get the cupsaddsmb
from the 1.1.23 tarball and use that. Or perform all steps "by hand" as described in the
SAMBA howto (chapter 20, I think).
