Troubleshooting CUPS

Hi everyone,

I am running a gentoo system and have the following problem:
I have installed a printer, set it up, and tried to test print it.
I get no errors in the error_log but the printer does nothing.

How can I proceed from here to locate the problem?
I have followed the GENTOO howto for CUPS and I'm pretty sure I have all the kernel drivers that are needed.

Any ideas?
