My printer is connected to my Apple Airport Extreme's USB printer port. The current Airport Extreme firmware makes the printer accessible over port 9101 (this is not configurable). I have configured the printer to use a JetDirect socket with port 9101. Unfortunately, when I run "tcpdump -i eth1", the port listed is 9100. This explains why I am getting no output to the printer.

Setting the device_uri to

	socket://printer_name_or_ip_number:9101

should solve your issue. If that does not work, I suspect it is a distro bug.
