I've got a HL6050DN.
It works perfectly fine using ipp with such an URL :
ipp://yourprinter.yourdomain.com:631/
Just install it using the PPD file which is present in the
Windows driver on the CDROM, that's all you have to do, you
don't need any additional wrapper or driver or whatever.
The top of my own PPD file looks like this :
