Test Page does not print

I have issued the following commands on my NSLU2 running unslung linux 6.8:

ipkg install cups
ipkg install cups-doc

This seemed to work fine.

I visited the web page at port 631 and everything seemed fine. I tried printing a test page. The web page said the page printed successfully but it did not print.

The printer was turned on and the USB cable was plugged in.

I'm new to cups and new to NSLU2 unslung. Should I cross post in the NSLU2  email list?
