well, i'm quited confused when trying to solve the problem, i restarted cups of course, as hp drivers too. but after having restarted the computer, the cups error disapeared from the logs, and i got a hp driver error instead. so i reinstalled it and the pb is over now. really sorry for the noise, and thx for your answers. yours skylupo
