Actually, CUPS doesn't retry indefinitely - it uses the JobRetryLimit
value (default 5, formerly called FaxRetryLimit in CUPS 1.1.x) for
queues using the retry-job policy. The interval is 5 minutes but can
be changed using the JobRetryInterval directive (formerly called
FaxRetryInterval). The job is canceled after the retry limit is
exceeded.
