Trouble with network printer install

Here's I do mine at home:

Find my printer from CUPS and determine the http address:
http://amed/printers/hplj4m

Then, I add it as a Network printer...

Selecting "Connect to a printer on the Internet...", I enter
my printers http address:  http://amed/printers/hplj4m

The rest of the works are just defining your printer type
and driver. Once completed, you should see a new printer icon
for your printer.

This has worked for me pretty well.
