[cups.general] LPR print queues become disabled after printer goes offline

We have 5 Okidata 395 parallel printers connected to the server using
LinkPro PS-150A print servers. They are configured as remote LPR print
queues in Linux. Printing works fine most of the time except that the
print queues keep becoming disabled. We think this may occur when the
printer goes offline, such as with a paper out condition. However, we
are forced to cycle power on the printer, print server and to enable the
queue before printing can resume. Can the spooler be configured to
simply retry after an interval instead of disabling the queue? What
other changes can we make to fix this problem?

Thanks

Regards,

Komal
