I have tried the suggestions from Kurt and have done the following:-

Recompiled and reinstalled CUPS.
Checked permissions
Checked the mime.types - "text/plain txt printable(0,1024)"
Checked the mime.convs - "text/html application/postscript 33 texttops"

I still have the error message

"text/html application/postscript 33 texttops"

When I try to print a file. (simple text file)

Has anyone any ideas please?
