Setting Default font size printing from remote client to cups server

Hello,

When I print to a printer form the actual cups server, the default font is "8"; which is fine. However, when printing the same document from a remote system to this same cups server, the default font size is increased to about "12". I would like to know if there is a way to control the font size being recieved by the cups server from a remote system?
