random test pages

having an issue with a HP640c printer, using ubuntu dapper.

the issue is i randomly get a HP test page printed.[without request]

i used cups:631 to configure the printer and also i dont see any info in logs concerning the test page being printer.

if i manually print test page i see how cups or ubuntu print the test page but this is a different test page by HP ,
any idea whyu this test page is being printed and why the log shows nothing for it
