lineprinters in raw mode how-to

Hello,

and thks for answering.
I am not sure, if I pointed out exactly, what we need:
Printing via cups on lineprinters (via socket) leads to graphic printing.
We would like to print on these lineprinters just ascii - not less, not more (no graphics, but fast speed). Is this possible with CUPS?
