This server is running MacOS 10.4.5 patched as of 3/9/06 and Cups 1.2 r5137

I'm having a couple of problems-

I setup a HP LaserJet 4250 on the print server as ipp://printername/ipp.
I have the printer options setup to print long edged double sided by default.

On my OS X clients 10.3 or 10.4 I setup a printer using the printer host name and the queue name of the printer. The clients can print, but the jobs are not duplexed. If I set the job to duplex on the client side, the job prints single sided. I need to force clients to only be able to print duplex jobs.

When cupsd starts, it reports in the error log that:

[09/Mar/2006:12:03:40 -0800] Filter "-" for printer "TestPrinter" not available: No such file or directory

It does this for all installed printers. It occasionally shows up in the web interface as well. Is this a problem?

The printers stop after a period of time. The message I get in the error log is:

[09/Mar/2006:11:58:22 -0800] Printer sharing is off and there are no jobs pending, will restart on demand.
I [09/Mar/2006:11:58:22 -0800] Scheduler shutting down normally.
I [09/Mar/2006:11:58:22 -0800] Saving remote.cache...
I [09/Mar/2006:11:58:22 -0800] Saving job cache file "/private/var/tmp/cups/job.cache"...

I currently am not sharing the printers via the cups web interface since this is a test server. I assume this will be fixed once I start print sharing? I don't think this problem is this problem. I fixed that by turning on Print Sharing services in the System Preferences panel. http://cups.org/newsgroups.php?gcups.general+v:22744

Thanks
