Can't print to linux server from OS X

I'm having trouble printing to my linux CUPS server from an OS X client. All linux clients on the network print fine. The Mac is recognising the CUPS server and sending the print jobs, they are appearing in the jobs log on the server, but they're all being aborted. When I try to reprint (via the web interface), I'm getting a client-error-not-possible error. Looked at the FAQ page for this error, but it wasn't very helpful.
The server is running Ubuntu 6.04 (kernel 2.6.15) with CUPS v1.2svn. The OS X client is running 1.1.23.
Don't know if it helps, but this is my cupsd.conf file:
ServerName 10.1.1.4
MaxLogSize 0
MaxJobs 0
Browsing On
BrowseProtocols cups
BrowseAddress @LOCAL
BrowseAllow from All
Port 631
LogLevel debug
<Location />

Allow from 10.1.1.*
AuthType None
</Location>
<Location /admin>

AuthClass System
</Location>
My printer is a HP Deskjet 930C, connected to the server by USB.
I've run a debug, and looked at the log, but unfortunately I don't really know what I'm looking for. The most obvious problem was this one:
D [21/Mar/2006:09:33:18 +1100] [Job 59] Last OS error: 2
D [21/Mar/2006:09:33:18 +1100] [Job 59] ESP Ghostscript 815.01: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1
www.cups.org

D [21/Mar/2006:09:33:18 +1100] [Job 59] renderer return value: 1
D [21/Mar/2006:09:33:18 +1100] [Job 59] renderer received signal: 1
D [21/Mar/2006:09:33:18 +1100] [Job 59] Process dying with "Possible error on renderer command line or PostScript error. Check options.", exit stat: 3
D [21/Mar/2006:09:33:18 +1100] [Job 59] error: Illegal seek (29)
D [21/Mar/2006:09:33:18 +1100] [Job 59] Possible error on renderer command line or PostScript error. Check options.

However, I don't know what this means or how to fix it. If anybody could point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful, I really need to be able to print from this computer. I'm happy to provide any more info if required. Sorry for the long post - just wanted to detail my problem properly

Thanks,
Jacob.
