Waiting for job to complete...

Hello,

we are currently in the process of migrating our production system from Unixware to RHEL v4 which is running CUPS cups-1.1.22-0.rc1.9.8.

While everthing is working, as far as I can tell, I noticed the following when using the lpstat -t command.

device for laser_main: socket://laser_main:9100
printer laser_main is idle.  enabled since Jan 01 00:00
        Print file sent, waiting for printer to finish...


If I change the interface URI to ipp then the message changes to "Waiting for job to complete...".

The jobs are been printed correctly but I am curious what is going on. Management noticed the message and want an explanation and all I can find out is that the printer is not telling the cups server that its finished.

How can I fix this?
