[cups.general] cups holds old files in /var/spool/cups

Hello,

I have noticed, that CUPS holds old files in /var/spool/cups. I thought that
these files are only temporarily written to that directory and will be
deleted after printing. Or are these files stored in /var/spool/cups for
re-printing, printjob history etc.
