Time delay when printing with windows

Hello to all,

I have the following problem:

Our computer, which also is used as a print server is equipped with a VLAN-compatible network card so that the access out of several networks is possible. SUSE Linux 9.3 is installed on the server and the printer hast been defined as Local Row Printer (CUPS) and authorized for the net with SAMBA.
The were no problems with the printer installation on the clients (Windows), the printer have been installed as network printers, each computer uses the original Windows driver and all printer work smoothly.
In opposite to the computers equipped with Windows XP SP2:
I’m able to install the printers and to print, but only with a great time delay (20-30 sec.) Only the recall of attributes lasts up to one minute. I also found out that it affects users with administrative rights. If users without administrative rights are logged on everything is ok.

I assume that it’s an adjustment with Windows leading to the time delay or could it be the print server?
If anybody has an idea what the problem could be?

Thanks a lot in advance!
