Versatec CPIF Format

I am trying to get a cpif file mime type identified by cups so that it can be passed through appropriate filters and i can't seem to get it to work.
Here's what i have in the mime.types file

application/vnd.versa-cpif      printable (0,1024) + contains(0,512,"pp") + \
                                contains(0,512,"IN Color")

It doesnt seem to identify the file as a versa-cpif.  Also, is there a easy way to find what mime-type a file is based on the rules in the mime.types file instead of sending a job to the printer and looking in the logs.
