Great, I've turned the automatic-universal binary stuff off in the
CUPS and CUPS DDK configure scripts to avoid this issue in the future.
(so Universal binary packagers note: you'll need to use the
--with-archflags="-arch i386 -arch ppc" option to get Universal
binaries in CUPS 1.2.2 and beyond...)
