Perhaps the web interface could be used to generate key and cert
pairs since the generating of such data may require some local
info. 

Automatic silent generating of this data may not be 
ideal albeit maybe that should be the default so as to not
confuse novices if they find they can't access  the webinterface
to do administration work which is how I discovered the problem.

The web interface could offer the re-generation of this data
along with the ability to setup some parameters of that key
and cert data.
