How to compile cups?

Some problems remains:

# rpmbuild -ta cups-1.2.6-source.tar.gz \
           --without dbus --without php --without pam

Results in:

Requires: cups = 1:1.2.6
RPM build errors:
    File not found: /tmp/cups-root/etc/pam.d
    File not found by glob: /tmp/cups-root/etc/pam.d/*

Do you have a hint?
